COME EXPERIENCE THE FARM
Spanning over rolling hills nestled between lakes, the Cherrylake family has been farming this land for two generations. It is our true love for the beauty of the land we farm that brings purpose to our quest to continuously learn and do more for our natural environment. We welcome you to join us at our Farm Days events, where you can witness our love for our farm firsthand.
We are excited to host our 7th annual Farm Races presented by Orlando Health South Lake Hospital. This event offers participants a choice between a 5k, 10k, and duathlon, providing a unique opportunity for everyone to enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the farm. Our goal is to go beyond providing a great outdoor experience for the racers, but also to celebrate community and sustainability. In honor of each participant, we will be donating one tree to be planted in the local community, and race proceeds will be allocated to agriculture and beautification projects within the local community.
PAST EVENTS
Did you know that the City of Groveland is set to become Florida’s first certified Dark Sky Community? This exciting development marks an important step towards protecting our skies and preserving the breathtaking wonder of the big dipper and shooting stars that we all love to see. And there is no better place to stargaze than on the farm. This Farm Days event was simple, homegrown, outdoor fun that included top-of-the-line telescopes, food trucks, yard games, and opportunities to learn more about how to create star-gazing skies in our backyards. The Cherrylake Farm Races presented by Orlando Health South Lake Hospital was a remarkable success, showcasing the stunning beauty of rolling tree-lined hills and unique clay road terrains that the farm has to offer. This event offered over 400 participants a choice between a 5k, 10k, and duathlon, providing an excellent opportunity for both amateur and professional athletes to enjoy the course. For each participant, we planted a tree and we were able to raise over $5k for agriculture and beautification projects at local schools, inspiring the next generation to play in the dirt. Over the span of four Saturdays in November and December, guests from all over came to enjoy the simple pleasures of life. With a variety of activities including yard games, live music, bouncing on the jump pad, indulging in delicious food trucks, rides out on the farm, and picking the sweetest, most delectable tangerines that Florida has to offer (we promise, we aren’t biased), there was something for everyone. There is something truly special about harvesting your own fruit from a local farm and experiencing the joy of bringing it home to share with loved ones. These Farm Days events have provided a fun and unique way for people to get back to nature, unwind, and simply enjoy the beauty of the outdoors.

FAMILY OWNED FOR
40+ YEARS
Our land in Groveland was originally all citrus groves. The freezes of 1983 and 1985 devastated the groves, and the Sallin Family decided to diversify their risk as farmers by planting a different crop. Today, the farm is a leading grower of ornamental plants such as trees, shrubs and palms, but also continues to farm citrus in Groveland and other parts of the Sunshine State. Spanning over rolling hills, with lakes nestled in between, the Cherrylake family has been farming this land for 2 generations. It is the true love for the beauty of the land we farm that brings purpose to our quest to continuously learn and do more for our natural environment.

A day on the farm is a day to enjoy the simple pleasures that nature, family and community provide. The rolling hills, the smell of orange blossoms, the shade of an Oak tree, the fluttering of butterflies and the grateful hearts of those around us refresh our spirits and feed our minds.
